Christmas with Omnium Radio

Will you be alone this Christmas day? Come and join Omnium Radio at Cafe Momus and Manor Street Galleries for a free Christmas lunch.

The kind people at Cafe Momus located inside Manor Street Galleries have kindly donated us use of the venue for the day so that we can cater for more people on Christmas day.

With use of the venue we be able to bring a community of people together who would usually be alone on Christmas day.

So what do we have planned for the day?

1. Big Screen Cinema Room playing some of the Christmas classics movies

2. Board Games for everyone to get their competitive sides on.

3. Chill out zone for those who wish to sit and relax

4. Christmas Roast

This will be a FREE preorder ticketed event so that we can ensure that we have enough food for everyone attending, these tickets are available from our website and we are aiming to cater for around 100 people for a sit down meal with people around them.

We do ask as this is a FREE event, if you are able to afford a donation toward the food there is a funding pot on the homepage of our website that you are able to donate to.

We would also like to be able to take food and give it out to any local rough sleepers if we hit our target of £500 for the day.

Every year since Omnium Radio started we've always had Christmas day gatherings for our members and associates that were alone on Christmas day, but this is the first year we have made it so anyone can come along and join in the festivities.

Throughout December 2022 and January 2023 we were helped by donations from the general public of which we gave out food every lunchtime to passer-by's and those waiting in the queue for the foodbank.

we were serving different meals every day such as soups, chilli con carne, bolognaise, curry and music more with food donated by locals.

Throughout the 2 cold months we served over 400 portions of food to the general public FREE of charge, but unfortunately due to a change of building layout and use we will not be able to offer these meals this year, which is why we are opening up our christmas day gathering to the public.

If you know someone that will be alone, tell them to book their free ticket as soon as possible.
