New. P.H.B. Pit Head Bath Soap. NCB. Vintage coal mining memorabilia. An extremely rare & hard to find item (especially in this colour) namely a bar of genuine Pit Head Baths soap. The soap is impressed PHB on one side. The soap was made by Colgate - Palmolive Ltd exclusively for the National Coal Board and was sold in pit canteens in the 1960's/70's for use by the miners in the pit head showers/baths.
