Plymouth Argyle & Portsmouth to lock horns once again in renewed Division 1 Dockyard Derby....

There will be no Devon Derby for the Pilgrims next season after the greens promotion from league 2 to League 1, Devon rivals Exeter were thumped 4-0 in the play off final by Northampton Town.

However the fixture that Argyle fans will be looking forward to is that of fellow DockYard City Portsmouth in another strong rivalry for Argyle, because of the two cities naval & maritime history.

The visit of Portsmouth at Home Park or Fratton Park are nearly always a sell out, so when the fixtures are announced all eyes will be on these ties.

Manager Ryan Lowe will be looking to add to his squad in order to compete in Division 1 and he will be hoping to have all his transfer business done before pre-season starts so all new recruits will be up to speed before the new season kicks off.
